Discover how to make the most of the IGNITE programme and hear from industry professionals and Northumbria Alumni who will help you along the way.
We will also discuss how best to complete the IGNITE programme content - both online or face to face.

What are employers looking for in a CV? Chloe and Tanya from international tech company Version 1 will take you through an interactive session revealing how to make your CV and application forms stand out; to help you get an interview from any UK-based employer.
Raman Sehgal &
Mark Lee
Discover the power of personal and digital branding in this session. We'll cover what is digital branding, why it's important and making the best of the brand of "you". With guest speaker and Alumni Raman Sehgal, owner of ramarketing and Careers Adviser, Mark Lee.
Nadine Wrigglesworth
Working with Nadine, you'll gain real-life teamwork experience and build your commercial awareness. You will develop communication, presentation, organisation and problem-solving skills by working to solve an employer challenge facing global business AkzoNobel.
Peter Bakare
Explore, plan and achieve your passions with Peter Bakare. From representing Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics to working as a scriptwriter for Channel 4, Peter runs his own company, Nutri Troops, encouraging young people to achieve their goals. Now it's your turn!

Charys, a People Coordinator at Aspire and Laura from Graduate Futures have been delivering interview tips for years in their roles in advice and recruitment. In this interactive session you'll explore face-to-face, group, online and telephone interviews and techniques to ensure job interview mastery!
Chris Cook
Devised and delivered by Northumbria alumnus, Chris Cook (Team GB Olympian and Motivational Speaker).
Chris returns to IGNITE for the third year, to share his inspiring and invaluable life-changing strategies which help you to understand how to build your own self-confidence and motivation.
Louise Sivewright
Work with Louise, a Talent Acquisition and Marketing Specialist, and other students from across the University, in this interactive project. Gain real-life teamwork experience and commercial awareness as you work to solve a real-world employer challenge facing the global business that is Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Kathryn Saunders &
Jack Stringer (Softcat)
In this interactive session, you will focus on skills and techniques to help you plan, structure and present to boost your confidence in delivering effective communications at university and at work. You will also hear an employer's perspective and tips on what makes a great presentation.

Join us for the IGNITE closing ceremony as we celebrate your achievements and share some of the successes from the programme. Participants will collect and register points in the ONLINE IGNITE programme (Demonstrated & shared with all participants at the programme launch). Gold participants will get one extra entry in the Silver and Bronze prize pools. Silver participants will get one extra entry in the Bronze prize pool. All participants will receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze IGNITE Certificate for participating.
